Father:Mother: Sophia Zabini (nee Marlowe) : was born in 1960 and attended Hogwarts from 1971-1978. She was in Ravenclaw house and was a near picture perfect student. She was well known for her stunning looks and her intelligence.
In February of 1979, Sophia and a few friends were celebrating the upcoming nuptials between herself and Oswald Bole, her first husband, at a wizarding bar in Rome. Six fire whiskeys later, she stumbled toward the bathroom and into the arms of Antonio Zabini. It was a night of drunken pleasure and secret fantasy. The next day she was married and when she found out that she was pregnant a few months later, her first husband, Oswald, died of a sudden unexplained heart attack. She sought out and found Antonio. They were married that same month.
Blaise was born 4 months later, in November of 1979.
Things were happy for a short time until Sophia became restless and decided to again move on. Blaise was 4 when his father suffered a fatal fall from his horse at their family home in Bari, Italy. In the years following Antonio's death, Sophia had four more husbands who would suffer fates similar to the first two. Karim Hasan, number three, was a Moroccan merchant who died after choking on food. Lisandro Valencia, husband number four and father to Cassandra, died of a heart attack after a long bout of lovemaking. Rhys McLeod from Wales and Adom Ur Atum from Egypt, number five and six, were not at all memorable except for the sizable fortune they left to their wife upon their deaths.
Sophia's seventh husband, Cyril Wilkes, is a Death Eater and is far too crafty and calculating to fall prey to his wife's machinations.

Isobel Zabini, born 1980, they have the same father and are very close.
Cassandra LeAnn Valencia, born in 1988, she is the daughter of Sophia's 4th husband, Lisandro Valencia. She grew up in Portugal with Lisandro's family and attended Beauxbatons. Blaise does not have a very close relationship with her.
History:
Childhood:
Born into the lap of wealth, his childhood consisted of whatever Blaise wanted, Blaise got. He was pampered and spoiled. He became a bit of a bully and was devious and greedy. He spent the first ten years of his life doing as he pleased, when he pleased. He was tutored, by a total of ten tutors, all of whom threw up their hands and called him impossible. The only one who ever seemed to be able to curb the young boy was his younger sister, Isobel, who was younger than Blaise by 10 months, 3 days.
At eleven, he received his Hogwarts letter and instantly Blaise knew that his life was changing. He wasn't thrilled that he was having his freedoms taken away. In his young mind, he was being sent to something that was very much like a prison. Going away to a school in another country, away from his sister was worse than death in a young Blaise's mind.
The week before Blaise left for Hogwarts, Sophia sent Isobel away to Beauxbatons, she knew how close the two siblings were and wanted to discourage it. She felt it was a weakness to have that type of relationship with anyone. So it was a resentful, angry, and confused Blaise that boarded the train to Hogwarts for the first time.
Hogwarts:
The easiest way to summarize his years at Hogwarts is in a few simple words: watching, learning, rebellion and girls. Blaise has spent his years at Hogwarts learning how to better manipulate the world around him. He learned to watch everyone and he learned to blend into the background enough that people either trusted him or forgot he was there. He learned a surprising amount of information about everyone that way.
Blaise was a good student, and worked hard. What he couldn't do or didn't want to do, he could make the lower years do for him. He had a natural born ability to charm others into doing exactly what he wanted them to do and he used it to his advantage time and time again.
Girls were easy for Blaise. His natural charm and good looks made it easy to get what he wanted from them. He made a bet over the summer of 5th year that he could get more girls to fawn over him and fall in love than his cousin Marcus could. He decided that even the less than perfect ones needed attention too, even if it was mostly insincere. He would never focus on just one particular girl for too long. To him that sort of feeling and attention to a girl was a weakness. He didn't trust anyone and saw girls as objects to be used for his own gain. After all, he watched his mother do the same thing to men for his whole life.

Boggart: a fish. Blaise cannot stand big nasty fish. Koi are the worst. Goldfish.. disgusting things.

Personality: Blaise has been shaped by his life and the undeniable force that is his mum. He has been catered to and pampered since his entry into the world and has wanted for nothing. To make up for her lack of mothering skills, Sophia, showered Blaise with material gifts almost daily as a small child. Blaise knows his mother loves him in her own way but he despises her for the lack of attention she gave him. He would stand by her side if forced, she is after all family, but he finds amusement in defying her. He refuses to be just another tool for her to use in her grand schemes.
Blaise despises everyone he believes below him. Blaise is also unsure of himself on so many levels but has learned to hide it behind a smirk and a swagger. He is hateful and vengeful. He loves girls and doesn't discriminate as long as he gets his way. He won't limit himself on flirting but draws the line on serious relationships. He will only see pureblooded girls from good families if he ever gets serious. He had a serious crush on a pureblood in Slytherin during 5th year but his pride and ego would never let him admit it. He feels as if it is a weakness to allow someone to get that close. He often times uses insincere flattery and lies to get his way. He doesn't remember the last time he was absolutely honest and sincere about himself or the way he felt. No one ever gets that close to him.
When he is extremely angry he is dark and is a bit of a bully. Not anywhere near as intimidating as Crabbe or Goyle, he is however, a force to be reckoned with. He adores old spells and dark magic. He spends far too much time immersed in books at hime in Italy. He will not hesitate to attempt any number of spells or curses on people who annoy him. He harassed many of his neighbors when he was younger and all of them were too terrified to tell his mum. Not that she would have cared anyway. She would have smiled and said "Boys will be boys."
Since discovering all the things girls can provide for him, he has taken to taking many of his frustrations out on many of them. Under the guise of affection of course. He is quite charming at first but in private he can be very dominating. His mum has made him feel like many of the women are below him and he enjoys making them pay for what he feels like are the sins of all women. There is a tiny part of Blaise that always wished for a normal quiet life with a normal mum who loved him.
To outsiders he is perceived as cold and quiet. He is watchful and keeps himself distant from most social settings. If engaged he is normally condescending and hateful. He hates to be bothered with anyone outside of his own little circle.
To his friends in Slytherin and his family, he is quite loyal and charming. The hierarchy in Slytherin is clearly outlined and he doesn't fancy being a leader. He was content to follow Draco's lead. He is therefore perceived as quiet and aloof to everyone excluding his closest
friends.

He is outwardly supporting the Dark Lord but he is neutral in reality. I doubt he could be recruited to the DA but it would always be open for discussion if it could be done realistically. |
